Hot take: Strong password requirements actually make passwords less secure because you are forcing me to write it on a post it note to possibly remember it

@HillOBeans and requiring frequent changes doesn't make then more secure it just makes people reuse passwords with tiny variations.

@lawremipsum which is what I was doing, using a pattern that was easy to remember but now the system has decided it's too easy to guess

@lawremipsum so now I am choosing to store it in an unsecure OneNote because there's no way I can remember it (even though I incorporated a variation of "bite me" lol)

@HillOBeans @lawremipsum NIST has now reversed themselves, and no longer recommends mandatory password changes! If only the world would catch up.
