a linguistic phenomenon i've noticed regarding disorders of the human body is that people will say something like "i have X" where X is a part of the body that most people have, when what one might assume they meant to say is "i have X disorder/syndrome".
of course i'm sure most people would know what they mean, i just find it interesting!
