Ended up on a bit of an Apple II emulation kick today.

Had some fun with GSplus on Linux, but emulating older MECC titles didn't work as well. Anyone have a decent emulator that works on ?

@vwbusguy I had a blast playing Oregon Trail with the family, but couldn't get the disk changing to work consistently with disks downloaded from Internet Archive. It was very strange.

@vkc I've had good results from microM8, although it doesn't specifically do the IIGS that I can recall. I've mostly used it for emulating the IIe.

@PastaThief I ended up trying the microM8 but had issues with sound. I speculate this might be related to Pipewire, though- I was going to try it on a fresh Debian and see if it's any better.

@vkc I seem to recall AppleWin ran pretty well under Wine when I tried it a couple of years ago. There’s a Linux port of AppleWin called LinApple II but I’ve not used it myself
